"The 21st century requires leaders who can navigate the unknown in an ever-changing world and bridge divides.”
– Jacqueline Novogratz, Social entrepreneur and author
University of Technology (UTS) Build and Future Leader Labs developed a program to engage new approaches to leadership; designed to provide university students with the essential tools, mindset and knowledge that they need to help navigate and lead effectively in a dynamic and VUCA world (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity).
Future Leader Labs 2017 was based on the latest findings from the fields of neuroscience, mindfulness, design thinking, movement, strategy, innovation and positive psychology.
Over 5-weeks, we set out to develop 21st-century skills and the inner leadership potential needed for students to thrive in their careers and as global citizens.
Future Leader Labs 2018 program is now available for schools, universities and organisations.
Future Leader Labs is inter-disciplinary and open to students across all faculties, degree types and year levels. The groundbreaking, innovative and practical learning laboratories are structured to be fun, energetic and fast paced.

FEEDBACK FROM STUDENTS
“Attending Future Leader Labs has been the highlight of my university studies thus far (and I've been in uni for 4 years now!)”
"We don't spend enough time at university looking at ourselves and reflecting on who we are as a leader or who we are as a person, so I think that was really valuable.”
"This is more about a self-leadership journey for me rather than an external leadership journey. Future Leader Labs really helped me to realise what I want to do with my life and focus my career.”
“I just want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that it has been one of the greatest experiences at uni.”
